mESSAGE FROM PASTOR CAMPBELL CONCERNING COVID-19

Christ Temple Pentecostal Church of the Apostolic Faith,

Greetings and peace beloved members of Christ Temple Pentecostal Church of the Apostolic faith. I pray this letter finds you in strong health and good spirit. As you are aware, not only our nation, but the world is in the midst of a pandemic which has crippled our economy and changed our way of living. The corona virus has caused panic and fear across the world but as believers, remember, “God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). In lieu of COVID- 19 the Governor of Illinois has invoked a “Shelter in Place” policy which will impact us here in McClean County as well as the entire state of Illinois until April 7th. With that in mind, I have created the following contingency plan for the members of Christ Temple church. Either CTC Administration or I will initiate communication with you thru one or more of the applications listed below to inform and update you with pertinent information as things unfold.

1. Communication: CTC will utilize several software applications to keep you up to date with any changes that occur to our weekly activities including meetings and services. Please familiarize yourself with these applications so that you can be contacted by CTC administration when needed. Below is a list of our communication methods.

• Conference Line – We will still have our weekly SWOT call with CTC leadership using the conference line.

• GroupMe – A software that will allow CTC administration to seamlessly send out messages updating you with any news, changes or updates to our weekly services. Please contact Min Bennett for assistance installing the software and to be added to the correct group.

• Facebook – Beginning this Sunday March 22, 2020 we will stream our Sunday morning service at 11:30am and Wednesday evening bible classes at 7pm weekly. Make sure you are a friend of CTC Bloomington on Facebook to tune in to our weekly services.

2. Contributions: We all must continue to give via tithes and offerings so that the church can continue to pay bills. Please understand that even though we’re going thru a pandemic, your seed is needed now more than ever. To give electronically, go to our church website www.mychristtemple.net and scroll down to Give Online and click “Give Now”. Please use the note section to inform the finance team how much are tithes and how much is your offering. Additionally, we will set up other payment options such as Zelle or Cash App to make it as convenient as possible. If you do not use electronic forms of payment, feel free to mail your check or money order to Christ Temple at 202 East Locust St, Bloomington, IL 61701.

These are troubling times, but we serve a God who specializes in showing up during troubling times. Please be encouraged that this too shall pass. If we stay united, connected, faithful and prayerful, God will see us thru this time of pestilence and “social distancing”. I want to encourage you to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. As we go forward, call one another, text one another, encourage one another but also pray for one another. Prayerfully, I look forward to fellowshipping with you once again in the upcoming weeks.

May the peace of God be upon us all.

Your servant in Christ,

District Elder Melvin L. Campbell
